But, it won't be one solid consistent thing all across the board.The entire plot of Yandere Simulator travels with these 3 students. I'm going to have cliche characters when I think those stereotypes are funny and amusing, and I'm going to have some characters completely subvert your expectations when I think it would make for a great twist. I'm going to use realism when it's useful for game design, and disregard realism when it's an obstacle to game design. "Anime High School" is going to have stereotypes, tropes, cliches, and stuff that you probably wouldn't find believable in many other settings, but you have to accept it, because it's Anime High School. "High School" is a setting, and "Anime High School" is a specific sub-genre in that category. Imagine an innocent dating simulator, but one of the characters in the background is killing off the cast whenever they are offscreen. Imagine a cute, sweet visual novel, but one of the background NPCs goes nuts and starts killing everybody. "If I had to say whether or not Yandere Simulator is serious or not serious, I'd say that a grim, dark, serious protagonist has been dropped into a lighthearted cliche anime setting. I don't care whose blood I have to spill. There is nothing that I won't do for him. She could never appreciate him the way I do. She wants him, but not in the same way that I want him.
